Self-employed physicians do not score the hourly-wage factor, so their maximum is 115.
Which factor is worth the most points?
Time in the job-offer position with your supporting employer, worth up to 18 points (more than 24 months). Hourly wage and language ability follow at 15 points each, then the broad occupational category, education, Canadian credentials, legal status, and bilingual knowledge. This calculator shows the exact contribution of each factor as you fill it in.
Does this calculator tell me if I am eligible for the stream?
No. It estimates your EOI ranking score only. Eligibility has separate gates, most importantly the job offer meeting the Job Bank median wage for your NOC and region (or the low wage for recent Ontario graduates in TEER 0 to 3), plus valid status and employer requirements under O. Reg. 422/17. A high score does not mean you qualify.
How is Ontario work experience scored if I just started my job?
If you have less than 6 months in the job-offer position, the grid falls back to your total Ontario work experience: 12 points for more than 24 months, 9 for 13 to 24, and 6 for 6 to 12. The full 18 points are reserved for more than 24 months in the same job-offer position with the same employer. This calculator applies that fallback automatically.
How do self-employed physicians score differently?
Physicians do not receive hourly-wage points. Instead of time in a job-offer position, they score cumulative months of medical practice (up to 18), and the location factor uses their OHIP billing address. How OINP Workforce Priority EOI scoring works

The Ontario Workforce Priority Stream ranks candidates with an Expression of Interest (EOI) score built from eleven factors. Every factor is a simple lookup, and the points add up to a maximum of 130 for a job-offer applicant. Self-employed physicians follow the same grid without the hourly-wage factor, so their maximum is 115. The calculator above applies each rule for you and updates the total as you go.

The heaviest single factor is how long you have worked in the exact job-offer position for the employer supporting your application, up to 18 points beyond 24 months. Wage, language ability, and the broad occupational category follow. Being outside the Greater Toronto Area helps too: Northern Ontario earns the full 15 regionalization points, while Toronto earns none.

Score is not the same as eligibility

A strong EOI score improves your ranking, but it does not make you eligible on its own. The stream still gates on the job offer meeting the Job Bank median wage for your NOC and work region, on valid status, and on the employer requirements under O. Reg. 422/17. Recent Ontario graduates applying in TEER 0 to 3 get an easier wage bar (the low wage rather than the median).
